Julianna Potter

Salt Lake County Youth Services

Julianna Potter is a social worker specializing in child welfare, refugee and immigrant services, and program management. Since receiving her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, Julianna has had the privilege of serving her community through positions in both public and non-profit agencies. She worked extensively with children in foster care, first with the state of Texas and then with CASA of Travis County. Julianna relocated to Salt Lake City in 2013 where she had the opportunity to serve as the manager of the Refugee Foster Care program through Catholic Community Services for four years. She currently works for Salt Lake County Youth Services where she manages prevention programming with the goal of reducing depression and suicide, substance abuse, delinquency, and family breakdown for youth across the community.

Julianna is passionate about providing opportunity and advocacy for vulnerable populations. Julianna is happiest when she is outside, preferably hiking or camping with her hilarious toddler, brilliant husband, and handsome pup. She also enjoys reading, running, games of all sorts, and a well-planned theme party.
