Dr. Ruby Chou is a professional classical pianist and music educator who has been in the arts nonprofit sector and higher education for the past several years. She is now a government services client partner for FranklinCovey, a leadership consulting and training company.

In 2019, Ruby was one of 14 speakers selected out of 364 applicants for TEDxSaltLakeCity- she shared how intergenerational learning fosters social empathy and mitigates social isolation (available on TED.com) based on her doctoral research experience from the University of Texas at Austin and subsequently established the intergenerational music program at Neighborhood House during her time as executive director of Mundi Project.

Based in Salt Lake City, she does not ski or snowboard but loves boating and camping season. A beginner to archery, Ruby hit a bullseye on her second attempt and has yet to be able to do it again. She emigrated to the US from Taiwan at the age of six and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
