2018 Moab Fundraising and Resource Development

Fundraising and Development, one of nine course offerings in areas critical to nonprofits available to you and your team available through UNA’s Nonprofit Organizational Credential (NOC) program. Each is designed to develop organizational capacity to sustain your mission and organization.
UNA’s Fundraising and Development course provides the opportunity for you to develop and implement policies and practices in support of this critical component of your organization. The course includes tow days of  classroom instruction on April 26 and 27, followed by a workshop on May 31. This time is used to support the three phases of the course: Education, Application and Integration. We present the course in three phases. 

Phase One - Education: The initial part of Fundraising and Development consists of two classroom sessions. A Subject-Matter Expert (SME) will engage you and other nonprofit professionals with an intermediate level of material presented in class and as homework. You’ll work with other nonprofit professionals and emerge with a deeper perspective on Fundraising and Development. (April 26 and April 27)

Phase Two - Application: In the second part of the course, you will begin to apply what you’ve learned to your organization. You’ll participate in a workshop – which lets you consult with our subject matter expert to fine tune your policies, procedures and practices. (May 31)

Phase Three - Integration: After the workshop, you will continue to work on your documentation. Your SME remains available, offering guidance and advice as needed and standing by to review your documentation. A passing review earns your organization the credential - presented in the form of a badge. Earning a badge for your organization is a statement on your dedication and on your organization’s commitment to build organizational capacity. (Ongoing until completed.)

We strongly encourage you to invite staff, volunteers, and board members to accompany you on this training adventure. Expanded participation broadens perspective, builds cooperation, and lightens the workload. (The fee for additional staff members is $25 for members and $75 for nonmembers.)
