Volunteer Management is one of nine NOC offerings in areas critical to nonprofits. Each is designed to develop organizational capacity to sustain your mission and organization.
UNA’s Volunteer Management provides you the opportunity to develop and implement policies and practices in support of this critical component of your organization. We present the course in three phases.

Phase One: The initial part of Volunteer Management consists of two classroom sessions and Subject matter experts engage you and other nonprofit professionals with an intermediate level of material presented in class and as homework. You’ll work with other nonprofit professionals and emerge with a deeper perspective on managing valuable volunteers.
Phase Two: In the second part of the course, you will begin to apply what you’ve learned to your organization. You’ll participate in a workshop – which lets you consult with our subject matter experts to fine tune your policies, procedures and practices.
Phase Three: After the workshop, you will continue to work on your documentation. Your SME remains available, offering guidance and advice as needed and standing by to review your documentation. A passing review earns your organization the credential - presented in the form of a badge. Earning a badge for your organization is a statement on your dedication and on your organization’s commitment building organizational capacity.
We strongly encourage you to invite staff, volunteers, and board members to accompany you on this training adventure. Expanded participation broadens perspective, builds cooperation, and lightens the workload.

Classroom Session 2 (lunch provided): June 29, 2018 9am– 3pm
Workshop: (no lunch): August 17, 2018 9am – 1pm

Member Rate: $150 for the first person/$25 for each additional participant
Non-Member Rate: $300 for the first person/$75 for each additional participant
