Megan Cronin HeadshotAs Regional Sales Director, Megan M. Cronin manages First Nonprofit Group’s State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) programs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Northern California. Since 2016, she has helped her nonprofit clients save over $1 million on their unemployment costs!

Megan’s background also includes working directly with nonprofit organizations and focusing on their fundraising efforts. She sits on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels and is a member of the Junior League of Portland, Oregon. Her family also owns a vineyard that hosts a yearly fundraiser supporting the Oregon Food Bank.

Steve and Stacey 40Steven E. Van Valkenburgh - Steve has been involved with Employer Advocates, LLC since 1999 providing consultation on Human Resource, Finance, Accounting and Information Technology issues.  He joined Employer Advocates full-time in 2012.  Since that time, Steve has coordinated and represented employers in over 2100 unemployment hearings. Prior to joining Employer Advocates, Steve was an HR Business Partner at ATK – an Aerospace Engineering Company.  Steve was part of his location’s Senior Management Team and was responsible for both strategic and administrative decisions. Steve graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Business Management and an emphasis in Human Resource Management. Steve has spent over 20 years as a Human Resource Professional.

Steve and Stacey 3Stacey D. Van Valkenburgh – One of the founding members of Employer Advocates.  Stacey has worked in the unemployment cost control industry for the past thirty years. She has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah. Stacey heads our benefit audit and rates department- interfacing with clients and state agencies to forecast rates, process transfer of unemployment experience, and audit charge statements and rate notices. She is also actively involved in business development and quality control.
