Nonprofit Chapter in 2016 Economic Report to the Governor

Utah Nonprofits Association is excited to present our contribution to the 2016 Economic Report to the Governor. This report is collaboration between the David Eccles School of Business and the Governor's Office of Management and Budget. This is the second year that a chapter on the Nonprofit Sector has been included in this report. UNA's Patty Shreve, Pearl Wright and Research Analyst, Sarah Flanigan compiled the data and wrote this year's chapter.

Notable in this year's report is the growth in the number of 501(c)3 nonprofits in Utah over the last year, we had an 8.2% growth rate between 2014 and 2015.

Our work to include the Nonprofit Sector in Utah's Economic Report to the Governor will raise the profile of Utah's nonprofits and draw more attention to the important social and economic impacts of nonprofit organizations. These include providing jobs, benefits, and bringing revenue and grant monies into our communities.
