2022 Nonprofit Day on the Hill Version 2.0 Going Virtual

Registration is closed for this event
Nonprofit Day on the Hill includes four sessions across four days where you’ll create conversations, relationships, and, most importantly, results. Join us for every session—or just the sessions that work for you. Follow up Nonprofit Day on the Hill with The UNA Credential in Advocacy and Civic Engagement and get all the seats at all the tables.

If a seat at the table profoundly impacts your ability to deliver your mission, imagine what would happen if you had more than one seat—or sat at more than one table.

The rebuilt 2022 Nonprofit Day on the Hill opens the door for you to create intentional connections with people whose missions and hopes align with yours. It’s a way for you to quick start your 2022 advocacy efforts.

  • Meet nonprofit folk in your sector as well as people in your legislative district to begin working together on shared interests

  • Receive coaching and targeted feedback on finetuning your communications with elected officials and stakeholders

  • Share your newly refined messages on UNA’s social media platforms

  • Participate in one-on-one consultations with UNA staff

Nonprofit Day on the Hill is your way to get seats at tables. Register by January 31.

Note: Nonprofit Day on the Hill will be a virtual event. The price of $35 per person lets you bring everyone on your team —staff, volunteers, board members, and stakeholders—who can tell your nonprofits’ story and build your advocacy strategy.

Your individual registration includes:

Orientation via Zoom | Monday, February 7 | 1-2 pm

  • Receive an Advocacy Quick-Start Toolkit that outlines how and when to communicate with elected officials, building calls to action, ways to propose a bill, and resources available.

Networking via Wonder.me | Tuesday, February 8 | 1-2 pm

  • Create a community with people who share your advocacy initiatives in an interactive session using Wonder.me. Meet with people in your district as well as with people whose missions overlap or complement yours.

  • Or meet with UNA staff to receive support with le.utah.gov where you’ll learn how to find state/local representatives’ contact information, committees, track legislation and more.

Workshop via Zoom | Wednesday, February 9 | 1-2 pm

  • Collaborate with peers to develop a concise and engaging action statement to launch conversations and begin developing and/or deepening relationships with elected officials and stakeholders.

  • Develop handouts you can share with elected officials.

  • Learn from your peers and prep for your one-on-one consultation on Thursday with UNA staff.

One-On-One Consults and Social Media Spotlight | Thursday, February 10 | Time TBD once registration closes:

  • Meet one-on-one with UNA staff for 30-minute sessions where we’ll tailor the advocacy quick start toolkit to your specific needs and events throughout the year.

  • Nonprofits are given the choice of conducting a live interview on our Facebook page (prompts provided ahead of time), providing a quote for Twitter, or sharing a photo for Instagram.

  • UNA will tag the relevant representatives and the nonprofit in the posts.
