Position Summary: POSITION SUMMARY
The Grants Specialist is responsible for the organization’s regranting efforts. This person maintains outgoing grants systems and processes so that they are clear and responsive to funded partners. They ensure that Promise Partnership Utah’s funds are awarded to partners that are equity focused and share a commitment to aligned results. The Grants Specialist must be process and data oriented and be a strong relationship manager as they will work closely with local partners and internal teams.
Primary Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Process Management: Manage and further develop outgoing grants processes, practices, and decisions for each of Promise Partnership Utah’s outgoing funding avenues. Maintain processes in Salesforce, CongaSign, and Asana, including areas of responsibilities, data collection, payment/contract processing, partnership management, approval process, and reporting efforts.

Contract Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of outgoing grants, answer administrative/technology-oriented questions.
-Create, send, and manage electronic documents (e.g., contracts, reports, surveys)
-Manage data on the status of these document
-Run and improve reports that help us meet contract related target dates
-Route documents for approval and signature

Data: Use Salesforce to collect information related to the key performance indicators that orient our outgoing grants strategy, including administering surveys to funded partners. Interpret and derive insights from data (e.g., to inform strategy alignment, organizational learning, improvement, communication, fundraising, etc.) and develop reports that help internal stakeholders derive insights.

-Accountability. Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
-Project Coordination. Can work with others to identify a project goal and the steps and resources needed to get there. Interest in working with project management software to coordinate projects from pre-planning to post-completion review.

-Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent related experience
-Commitment to racial equity and widescale social change
-Project management and process improvement experience (including following and documenting processes)
-Relationship building and/or customer management experience
-Data management and analysis skills – experience managing data in Salesforce or a similar CRM software a plus
-Experience handling budgets
-Strong attention to detail
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and SharePoint

The team member is regularly required to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information interpersonally or through communication devices. Must be able to learn new systems and procedures, prepare and analyze data and figures, constantly operate a computer and other standard office machinery.  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 85% of the time. The position requires occasional movement on- and offsite to attend meetings and presentations. Must be able to move light items such as paper, laptops, and presentation materials up to 15lbs.
