Position Summary: Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a full time Program Coordinator to work in our Weatherization Program.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for general coordination of Weatherization services among the various grants, projects and locations within the Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, Morgan and Weber counties and ensuring programmatic contract compliance and reporting for each funding source. Must maintain full compliance for Weatherization program in accordance with Federal, State, and Utah Community Action policies and procedures. Responsible for the coordination supervision, and mentoring of eligibility and support staff. Responsible for client recruitment through outreach, intra/inter agency referrals, eligibility, and quality client education. Manages program staff training plans and certifications. Ensures completed projects meet State and Federal requirements and are reported timely and accurately in the State reporting tool.
Primary Responsibilities: Competencies:

Must have an experience in residential construction, energy efficiency and mechanical system
Must be organized and able to delegate responsibilities.
Must maintain full compliance with all federal, state and local funding requirements
Knowledge of community resources, agencies and referral procedures.
Sensitivity to needs of families from various economic backgrounds
Must have ability to work with community professionals.
Understanding of the concept and philosophy of Head Start and Community Action Program.
Ability to use good judgment.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Ability to relate to low-income people.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheets software.
Knowledge of Performance Standards.
Strong interpersonal skills.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

Must have experience supervising staff.
Provides guidance and direction to the Weatherization staff, evaluates performance, assesses, and participates in securing training opportunities and resources for staff development.
Provides training and coaching to weatherization staff ensuring all weatherization work aligns with DOE requirements and the Utah Weatherization Field Guide.
Desired Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED.



Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in social, human or family services preferred.
Two years of supervisory experience.
Previous HEAT or Weatherization experience preferred



Physical Demands:

Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting, stooping, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required. This position is required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Incumbent may be exposed to extreme temperatures, close quarter situations, high and precarious places, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.


Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a variety of environments: office, interior operational settings, and outdoors, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.
