Position Summary: Summary: The Program Administrator serves a vital role in fulfilling the Community Foundation of Utah’s (CFU) mission by supporting the coordination, administration, and implementation of a diverse portfolio of community and program initiatives.
CFU is Utah’s partner in philanthropy, bringing donors, nonprofits, and community stakeholders together to build a brighter future for Utah. We are seeking a dynamic professional eager to help administer and augment programming to support CFU’s role as a philanthropic leader and convener in our community. This role is integral in administering processes to execute, institutionalize and grow our community work. Candidates should have a strong interest in supporting organizational effectiveness, process improvement, community engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
The Program Administrator is part of a small but mighty team, and part of an organization at the epicenter of community impact in Utah. Founded in 2008, CFU has deployed over $350 million in grants to over 1,000 nonprofit organizations, while spearheading a diverse set of community-driven initiatives to address pressing community challenges.

Primary Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities
Community Impact Funds
- Facilitate coordination and grantmaking for Community Impact Funds including budgeting, meeting scheduling, logistics, disbursements, reporting, and evaluation
- Administer data collection efforts and draft fund impact reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure seamless communication between CFU and community fund stakeholders
- Collaborate with marketing efforts to develop compelling narratives around Community Impact Fund activities and opportunities
Community Initiatives
- Work closely with leadership to support and execute on CFU’s community impact initiatives and achieve impact outcomes in furtherance of CFU’s mission
- Facilitate administration, coordination and grantmaking for community initiatives including budgeting, meeting scheduling, disbursements, reporting, and evaluation
- Collect and organize initiative content for inclusion in annual report, grant applications and reports, board and committee memos, and other external reports
- Engage relevant community stakeholders, content experts, and partners
- Create impact and grant reports to internal and external stakeholders
Internal Operations
- Support CFU executive team with implementation and completion of annual compliance monitoring activities and accreditation
- Engage with specific CFU vendors as needed, reviewing agreements, monitoring deliverables and escalating any issues to the CFU executive team
- Provide office administration and management support
- Respond to general community inquiries
- Special projects as needed

Desired Qualifications: Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years’ work experience in a professional office environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Budgeting skills and experience with a high level of comfort with financial reporting
- Ability to forecast process bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to connect with community members, staff, and CFU’s Board of Directors
- Knowledge of all Microsoft programs and high level of digital literacy
- Data collection experience a plus
- Salesforce experience a plus

- A transparent communicator eager to both give and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to juggle multiple and disparate priorities efficiently and smoothly
