Organization's Mission: People Helping People (PHP) is an Employment Program dedicated to helping low-income women and single moms reach their full potential in the workplace. PHP helps families break the cycle of poverty by teaching low-income women how to earn an adequate income.
Position Summary: The Program & Volunteer Coordinator provides program support to the Program Manager in recruiting volunteer and community partners, managing and retaining clients in the People Helping People Employment Program, and participating in community outreach activities.
Primary Responsibilities: o Participate in community events both virtual and in-person and assist with client outreach activities and program awareness.
o Manage new client relationships for weekly coaching appointments and assist with management of volunteer coaches & tracking participation.
o Provide phone support, resource referrals, employment guidance, etc.
o Schedule and manage monthly workshops and annual events
o Track and report monthly outreach, client, and volunteer activities and outcomes
o Track and report client advancement and workshop attendance including coaching appointments by demonstrating excellent work ethic and personal interactions
o Volunteer management
o Assist with 2X year client awards ceremony and other PHP events as needed
o Assist with and attend PHP events for volunteers, employers, agencies, donors, and clients
Work schedule requires working Tues/Thurs evenings and 2X/month Saturday morning each month.
Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of consistent work experience.
Non-profit experience; paid or volunteer is preferred.
Basic understanding of non-profit culture and community resource and agency partners.
Exceptional knowledge of GSUITE, Zoom, Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
Strong professional network and networking skills.
Self-motivated.
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication; email and phone etiquette.
Willingness to work nights and weekends.
Ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual meetings 1-1 and in groups.
Strong ability to track progress, monitor results, and prepare monthly reports.
Strong organization.
