Position Summary: Weber CTC is structured as a department within the UWNU’s Community Resource Team. This
position is a highly visible leadership position in the Weber High School cone (WHS and its feeder
schools), which can also be defined as the cities of North Ogden, Pleasant View, Harrisville, and Ogden
Valley. The Coordinator position interacts with key community leaders, nonprofit and government
agencies, an extensive volunteer base, and other stakeholders to facilitate program goals and objectives.
As the full-time Coordinator, this position will oversee the daily work of the Assistant Coordinator and
ensure that responsibilities are delegated when appropriate. The Coordinator will be primarily responsible
for grant reporting, budget management, and being the point liaison between Weber CTC and United Way
of Northern Utah.
Primary Responsibilities: :
1. Serve as front line representative for the Weber CTC coalition to build cooperative relationships with
community leaders, agencies, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
a. Travel throughout the designated Weber cone area is a requirement of the job.
b. Meet with local officials, school district leaders, and others to promote community-wide buy-in for
the CTC program and strategies
c. Coordinate public and other group presentations
d. Work with people from a wide variety of levels, from youth to administration to elected officials.
e. Facilitate the preparation and release of survey information to the community
f. Coordinate IT set up for meetings
2. Volunteer management; recruit, orient, and work with volunteer coalition members
a. Oversee community volunteer coordination, recognition, and communications.
3. Work with Weber CTC members to develop short and long-term goals for the Weber CTC coalition. Ensure
that the goals of the Coalition’s action plan are achieved. Related activities include:
a. Write and update annual CTC Community Action Plan that includes Coalition’s action plan goals
(in collaboration with community board).
b. Implement, evaluate and make necessary changes to programs in support of the Weber CTC
coalition’s goals
4. Perform various duties necessary to oversee management of Weber CTC programs and strategies to
ensure Coalition’s action plan and budget requirements are met including:
a. Provide basic financial reports applicable to the Coalition action plan to UWNU fiscal team
b. Oversee the Weber CTC budget, including management and reporting of all funding sources.
Ensure that all reports are done in a timely manner in accordance with funders’ standards and
c. Facilitate the Weber CTC Funding Workgroup to ensure diverse funding sources. Research for
and write grants that align with the Coalition's goals.
d. Oversee Coalition program marketing to ensure high levels of participation.
e. Ensure policies and procedures relating to programs are implemented and followed.
f. Facilitate the Coalition‘s work to ensure programs are effectively evaluated and collaborate with
the community board to identify effective evidence-based programing
g. Provide conflict resolution for resolving issues and problems relating to CTC program; responding
to and investigating public complaints;
5. Perform administrative tasks for the Coalition Workgroups, Committees, and Boards, to ensure materials
are ready for meetings.
6. Prepare statistical reports, process data and perform other related tasks.
7. Answer incoming calls, emails, social media, and website messages.
8. Attend trainings in identified prevention and community coalition subjects to serve as a resource in a
variety of subjects, primarily substance use and suicide prevention.
9. Oversee the daily work of the part-time Assistant Coordinator

● Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
● Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations, negotiate and resolve conflicts, maintain
confidentiality and respect, and observe organizational protocol.
● Ability to perform responsibilities with integrity, aligning with the mission, vision, and values of UWNU.
● Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule with some evenings, weekend events, and out of town travel.
Must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and daily access to a reliable vehicle.
● Position requires short distance travel by car and occasional long distance travel by car, van, or airplane.
Long distance travel may include being in or out-of-state for a week at a time.
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to assist with setting up for events and activities. Must be able to perform
strenuous activities that require strength, stamina, and overall good health, and be able to stand for
multiple hours
