Position Summary: Craft Lake City’s Kid Row Coordinator coordinates Craft Lake City’s year-round youth artisan entrepreneur program in conjunction with after local school programs and onsite at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival. The Kid Row Coordinator is a personable, adaptable, solution-oriented leader with excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping young artists create while learning entrepreneur skills.
Primary Responsibilities: Year round responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with schools participating in Craft Lake City South artisan entrepreneur program
-Attend relevant school functions to promote and plan Craft Lake City after school workshops associated with the program
-Represent Craft Lake City in school classroom setting while workshops transpire
-Onsite coordination of workshop
-Source/bring snacks for each school visit (as needed)
-Support teaching instructor as needed
-set up and cleanup of before and after workshop as needed
-document workshops for organization grant reporting
-Support recruitment for Kid Row Applications
-Work with youth artisans to decide on their unique areas of focus for inventory/merch prep for Kid Row
-Work with the artisan and programs department to host Kid Row sales training sessions for
-Source materials for inventory preparations specific to the youth artisans’ areas of interest

DIY Fest responsibilities:
-Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for youth artisan exhibitors at the DIY Festival in the Kid Row zone, offering excellent customer service to ensure a positive festival experience for all participants
-Support youth artisans in Kid Row on Saturday August 12, 2023, including coordinating load-in, answering questions, helping to troubleshoot issues, and escalating any special needs or concerns to management as necessary
-Play a key role in the load-in and load-out logistics for youth artisans and their parents and/guardians in Kid Row, including volunteer training and coordination
-Create, organize, and distribute youth artisan lanyards and signage
-Assist the Craft Lake City team with setting up and breaking down Kid Row signage and equipment before, during, and after the DIY Festival
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications:
-2 years of management or leadership experience
-Experience working with children and their parents/guardians
-Festival, large event and/or crowd management experience preferred
-Exceptional customer service, problem-solving and communication skills
-Organized, collaborative and self-disciplined
-Ability to adapt in an event-driven, nonprofit environment
-Available to read and respond to email 2–3 times per day
-Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs
-Must be able to stand on their feet for upwards of 10 hours a day
-Must be able to endure summer temperatures of 90 degrees and above
