Position Summary: The AmeriCorps member in this role will serve as the Administrative Assistant with Curly Me!. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, self-motivated, and culturally competent administrative coordinator willing to commit 14 hours a week to helping the organization accomplish our mission. The individual will work directly with the executive director and core volunteer leadership positions, enable consistently high quality experiences, and is essential to the success of this growing volunteer organization. Primary Responsibilities: Support executive director and core volunteer board members in executing strategy

Facilitate board meetings, including minute-taking and coordinating training

Create and maintain databases for donors, families, and volunteers; utilize Point App for tracking

Produce monthly newsletters and manage email communications
Handle inquiries from families, public, and press; manage donor responses

Oversee volunteer coordination, including placement and tracking

Coordinate university interns and assist with basic marketing efforts

Manage social media, website updates, media events, and event coordination duties

Support the coordination of, and attend, quarterly events
Desired Qualifications: At least a high school diploma or GED

Over 18 years of age

communication skills

Public relations skills, especially in social media

Proficient with social media platforms including instagram, tiktok, facebook and basic website experience

Proactive and flexible attitude understanding the changing needs of a growing organization
Benefits / Why Work With Us: This is an AmeriCorps position. AmeriCorps is a unique service opportunity. AmeriCorps members complete a term of service from March 2024 through February 2025. Members will serve a minimum of 675 hours during this time, approximately 14 hours per week. AmeriCorps members will receive a living allowance of $8,850 during their term of service. This living allowance will be paid bi-weekly. Additionally, upon successful completion of a term of service, AmeriCorps members will receive an education award of $2,626.
