Position Summary: Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a Weatherization Manager for our Weatherization Program.


This Weatherization Manager position earns a competitive wage of $91,750 per year. We also offer generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a Health Savings Account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, paid time off (PTO), and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care.

Summary of the Position

The Weatherization Manager oversees and is ultimately responsible for the daily activities and operations of the Weatherization Program in the Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, Weber, and Morgan county service areas. The Program Manager is responsible for projects and staff management, executing plans, as per contract specification, and ensuring compliance with the regulations established by the Department of Energy and State Office. The Weatherization Program reduces energy costs for low-income households by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring health and safety.


QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, accounting, social services, or related field.

· 3 years of managerial experience required.

· Valid driver's license

Preferred Education and Experience

· Experience in managing grant-funded programs preferred.

· Prior non-profit experience preferred.

· Experience with Weatherization or similar program(s).

JOB DUTIES/COMPENTENCIES

· Knowledge of various construction trades.

· Ability to manage complex budgets and meet funding requirements.

· Project planning and management skills.

· Ability to manage and delegate responsibility to staff.

· Knowledge of community resources, agencies, and referral procedures.

· Ability to use ongoing monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.

· Sensitivity to needs of families from various economic and ethnic backgrounds.

· Must have ability to work with community professionals.

· Understanding of the concept and philosophy of Head Start and Community Action Program.

· Ability to use good judgment.

· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

· Ability to monitor data and track program outcomes.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheets software.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Public speaking skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Weatherization staff and contractors
