Primary Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the ECE Director, the Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing curriculum determined by the ECE Director, writing lesson plans, assessing children and communicating with parents.
Responsible for working with a team to provide High Quality preschool through daily activities for students, age 3-4 years old that attend the YMCA preschool program.
Creating activities that are aimed at increasing student's academic, social, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Desired Qualifications: Education Requirements: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related degree.
Previous Work Experience: At least 2 years experience in education, preferably working with young children through child-care, education, youth development or other related fields.
Certification Requirements: Must be able to obtain and become certified in First Aid, CPR and Food Handlers withing 30 days of hire date.
Must be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting within 10 days of hire date and prior to working with children
Must be available to work Full Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
