Habitat for Humanity's Park City ReStore is growing and we are looking to hire more members of our team. Our truck drivers get to pick up amazing donations around Summit & Wasatch County to be sold at our ReStore. No CDL required, but must have a clean driving record. Great communication is a must.

Primary Responsibilities: To administer the smooth operation of the conveyance and transport of scheduled donations via the ReStore Donations truck. As well, the position is customer facing, and representation of the ReStore and HFH brand is a factor in each day’s work. The job includes collecting donations from donors and conveying the mission of HFHSWC. Attitude is Key. This person is relied upon to support an engaging and harmonious work environment. Teamwork is Key. This person must have communication skills that promote productivity in a dynamic, often unpredictable work environment. The job is physically demanding, and a commitment to utilizing best practices and safety measures is essential. In addition, being solution oriented and regular collaboration with teammates to build best practices, set priorities and facilitate productivity are all traits that are important to this role.

This position requires moderate supervision and has no supervisory responsibility.

SPECIFIC DUTIES (90%):

Utilizing the ReStore Truck to collect scheduled donations including:

Manage the day’s scheduled pickups. Note the items, discuss with pick up partner, call patrons to let them know of your status, strategize with management and communicate with team of plans.
Drive the truck in a safe manner to planned destinations.
Safely load and unload items onto and off the truck.
Appropriately pack/secure donated items on truck to ensure their integrity while transported.
Confidentially handle all donor information.
Interact with customers in a friendly, solution-oriented manner.
Convey any HFH/ReStore initiatives to donors at time of pickup.
Maintain ReStore Donations Truck, including keeping it clean at all times, as well as managing truck maintenance schedule.
Responsible for leading, training, and mentoring truck partners as needed.
Properly document receipts for each truck donation including items and/or a cash donation and send to donor for their records.
Assist with communication / scheduling of donation pick ups.

Processing donations in the receiving area including:

Welcome customers / donors as they enter the ReStore.
Accepting product donations through donation area and providing receipts for donor.
Handle all donor information confidentially.
Proper disposal of unwanted or recyclable items.
Maintenance of receiving area, includes straightening, cleaning and organizing workspace on a regular and consistent basis to ensure a safe work environment.
Interacting with donating customers in a friendly, solution-oriented way.
Responding to customer service requests for moving items off the floor after purchase.

OTHER DUTIES (10%):

Providing thorough help and service to front side customers as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the ReStore Management.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks or special projects as assigned.
Desired Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to effectively communicate fluently in English.
Bilingual is a plus.
Basic math, counting skills, calculator use
Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
Will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
Successful employees will have problem solving and analytical ability to utilize time management and space management to juggle an ever changing environment.
Communication skills and interpersonal skills are important for dealing with customers as well as fellow staff members.
A strong willingness to research and learn about donated items.
Knowledge of repair and fixing household items and furniture desirable.
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record that will meet HFHSWC’s insurance requirements.
Ability to train and certify as a forklift operator.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in a warehouse setting subject to heat, cold, and dust
Ability to lift 75 lbs; Carrying 75 lbs; Pushing 75 lbs; Pulling 75 lbs.

This position offers a set work schedule: Day shifts, Tuesday - Saturday with the option for part-time or full-time. Pay range is $17.00-$19.00, depending on experience.
