Skills & Talents of Ideal Candidate: Skills: General accounting methods, financial literacy, ability to understand financial reports

-Experience with organizational finances

-Experience with sound financial accounting,
management, and reporting for nonprofits.

-Ability to read and understand budgets, financial, and tax filings.
Appreciation of the kind of financial information needed at a board level to support decision making

-An ability to commit the time required (two meetings per month and/or approximately two hours per week or 8-10 hours per month) to fulfill the responsibilities described.

Financial obligation:
-Give or get $500 annually

-Work with the executive board and the advisory board financial committee to ensure that all board members are meeting their financial obligations to the organization.

Position Summary: Craft Lake City seeks an individual with professional experience in understanding, evaluating, and articulating financial documents and procedures. The Treasurer will work with the executive board to provide advisory oversight on the organization’s finances. The treasurer will translate financial concepts and information to board members (as needed) without financial backgrounds. This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately two hours per week or 8-10 hours per month.
