Organization's Mission: Our mission is to empower the next generation of female and gender non-conforming leaders through personal mentorship, public policy education, issue advocacy, and professional skill building.
Organization's Programs and Services: Girls are divided into issue-based cohorts and participate in ten weeks of Girls Lobby curriculum throughout the Utah state legislative session. They learn to track bills, testify at hearings, write editorials, and plan protests. Girls Lobby hopes to create increased confidence, civic engagement, and community participation.
Skills & Talents of Ideal Candidate: Experience in developing community partnerships, fundraising, and/or strategic management.

Position Summary: The Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for all activities of the organization. To that end it:

- Determines how the organization will carry out its mission through long and short-range planning
- Adopts an annual budget and provides fiscal oversight
- Recruits, orients, and develops board members
- Oversees the performance of the executive director
- Evaluates overall performance of the board and the organization in achieving the mission
- Establishes policies for the effective management of the organization
