This bill changes state audit thresholds for nonprofits that receive federal pass through money, state money, or local money from $750,000 to $1,000,000 or more.

HB0219

This bill reinstates capped tax credits for donations to qualified nonprofit projects in a Rural Enterprise Zone. The Nonprofit Rural Tax Coalition has worked extensively with Representative Sandal this past year to craft this bill, and, though there are compromises, is recommending support of this bill.

UNA supports this bill. Kate Rubalcava, UNA's CEO testified in committee for UNA on February 8 in support of this bill.

This bill creates the Student Prosperity Savings Program and related corporate and
individual tax benefits.

This bill reauthorizes the Utah Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program
and repeals certain outdated provisions.

This bill affects Government Nonprofits, defined as one that receives 49% of its revenue from the government and 51% of their board  must be appointed government officials.

This bill amends provisions related to post-employment restrictive covenants.

 SB0063 

This bill modifies the Utah Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act to permit the transfer of
water shares, in certain circumstances, and clarifies the rights of a shareholder in a
water company.

UNA is monitoring this bill.

Status: Passed the Senate, moved from House to standing committee.

This bill modifies the code to allow for the transfer of water shares.
