We help girls realize and develop their sense of self-worth through preparing and hosting free workshops and classes that focus on raising self worth with an emphasis in our "5 Keys" to healthy self esteem; Personality, Comfort In Your Own Skin, Healthy Living, Good/Bad Friends, and Making Your Mark. We are looking to fill spots on our Board of Directors.

  • Skills & Talents of Ideal Candidate: "The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and resourceful. The combination of those two skills would create the board member we need on our board of directors. We are in need of board members who can find donations and bring in more funds. Here is a more traditional description of what we are looking for: Responsibilities: • Understand and promote the organization’s mission • Be familiar with the organization’s programs, policies, and operations • Attend board meetings and appropriate committee meetings • Actively serve on at least one committee and offer to take on special assignments • Review agenda and supporting documents prior to meetings • Meet annual minimum of $300 in individual contribution efforts. Individual contribution efforts may include self-lead fundraising, self-lead donor outreach, and/or personal contributions. • Participate in fundraising activities and special events. Time Demands (approximate): • Attend and actively participate in at least 75% of board meetings either in person or through video conferencing (depending on organizations demand, they range from being once a month to once every two months). • Attend and actively participate in committee meetings and related work (varies depending on current need and situation). • Attend special events such as fundraisers and ceremonies (Average of two a year) • Meet with potential donors/funders to make a case for funding the organization, answer questions, etc. (Time commitment varies on board role and method of individual contribution collection) Financial and Resource Development Expectations: • Meet annual minimum of $300 in individual contribution efforts. Individual contribution efforts may include self-lead fundraising, self-lead donor outreach, and/or personal contributions. Participate in fundraising activities and special events • Participate in all fundraising events • Recruit sponsors, as needed • Identify and cultivate potential donors"
