GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, manage the Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Center. Responsible for billing, grants, and adherence to licensing and policy requirements for these programs, including counseling, training and staffing the Center.
Primary Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and enforce policies and procedures of VAC. Update policy as necessary.
Supervise VAC staff and programs: Crisis Shelter, Outreach, Aftercare, Domestic Violence Victim Advocates, and Sexual Assault Program.
Conduct regular staff meetings for professional staff and volunteers.
Supervise and evaluate VAC professional staff, volunteers, and interns.
Oversee training of new staff and volunteers and ongoing training of regular staff.
Oversee all grants and contracts pertaining to the VAC (VOCA, DHS, and Child Nutrition Program)
Write proposals and grants in order to maintain existing programs and expand new programs.
Complete monthly billing contract as required.
Comply with grant contract requirements, goals, and objectives.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Supervise proper maintenance of client records to ensure adherence to DHS standards.
Prepare and coordinate for annual DHS contract audit.
Collaborate and network with outside professionals; provide representation for YCC VAC on the Utah Domestic Violence Council and on the Weber/Morgan County Domestic Violence Coalition.
Serve as a liaison between YCC and collaborating partners and the general public.
Prepare and coordinate annual state licensing.
Oversee both Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness Month activities including the annual domestic violence awareness event “Footsteps to Light”.
Complete 24-hour domestic violence core training and 40-hour rape advocacy training.
Adhere to all policies and procedures stated in the Employee Handbook and any applicable Policy and Procedure Manuals.

Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work, Social Sciences, or Industry-related field preferred.
Requires 5 years of experience in domestic violence issues & families in crisis, or any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Working knowledge of community resources & services available to clients

Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building and employee coaching skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides leadership and direction within the VAC.
Proven ability to effectively lead in this environment.
Computer literacy including MS Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Exceptional time-management, planning, and administrative skills.
Demonstrate a high level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion when dealing with clients and other department staff.
High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility with schedule.
Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization's goals and objectives.
Ability to think strategically and interact with all levels of the organization.

Must be able to occasionally move objects of 30 lbs.
