Position Summary: Overview:
Youth leaders will be responsible for planning &implementing activities for youth ages 5-12 that responds to their individual needs & interests, that encourages them to develop friendships, work cooperatively, communicate effectively, & increase their self-image. Youth leaders will offer classroom activities, team building & group activities, community-service projects, & outdoor recreational opportunities. They will be responsible for proper supervision & interaction with youth, maintain effective group management techniques, encourage participation from all youth, & have fun!!
Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be:
• A person who is self-motivated for success & driven toward excellence
• Very responsible & highly dependable
• Genuinely cheerful & passionate about making a difference in the lives of elementary age children.
Desired Qualifications: • Must have/or obtain: Food Handlers Permit, CPR/First Aid Certification
• Must be 18 years of age & ability to successfully pass a background check
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Willing to drive a 15-passenger van daily to transport children from school.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with parents, youth, &co-workers.
• Must possess at least three strong leadership qualities.
• Full Time position 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday 9:30-5:30, Additional morning hours may occasionally be available, especially during school closure times.
• Part Time position 25 hours per week, Monday thru Friday 12:30-5:30
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
