Position Summary: House of Hope (HOH), a local nonprofit, empowers women, strengthens families, and promotes recovery in our community. As Utah’s oldest treatment center, we have a long legacy of employing staff who are dedicated to the mission of spreading hope, nurturing healing, and encouraging personal growth in our colleagues, our clients, and our organization. We have a new opening for a Client Services Aide, daytime hours, 28-36 hours, M-F, between the hours of 8-4 pm to assist women who live at a House of Hope facility meet their Health and Wellness needs. This may include supervising women who are not feeling well and helping them set up doctor appointments, keeping medical appointments, tracking medications, following health goals, and accessing other community resources. This staff position has the privilege of serving women who are new in recovery and who are working to achieve health and wellness for themselves and their young children. This is a great opportunity for those seeking experience working with women, families, and non-profit organizations in the human services sector or health-related fields.

Due to licensing regulations and supervision requirements, this position is open to FEMALE applicants only.
Primary Responsibilities: The successful House of Hope applicant will:
--Be responsible for supervising women and children who are unable to attend treatment due to illness or other issues in a designated facility
--Help clients express themselves in a healthy manner and be able to respectfully hear their concerns
--Help families access community resources or follow up with medical appointments
--Assist clients in participating in telehealth appointments
--Utilize creativity in promoting health and wellness in the residential community
--Teach basic health concepts to women and young children such as washing hands, taking temperature, etc.
--Occasionally audit records, do room searches, inventory supplies, or help organize donations
--Perform other responsibilities, which include: completing program errands, keeping records, using basic computer programs, and completing other special projects as needed to assist the program where most needed
Desired Qualifications: Do these qualifications match your education, experience, and/or skillset?
--Must attend training the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 2-4 via Zoom
--Be confident and good at making others feel heard and respected and be open to feedback
--Be willing to drive own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) if needed on occasion to take clients to appointments, have a current Utah driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record
--Have excellent communication skills, problem solving ability, and able to be respectfully assertive as needed
--Be able to climb stairs and lift 40-50 pounds on occasion, if needed
--Be dependable with assigned hours and have a strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries

Education Required:
--High school diploma or GED equivalency

Hours/Schedule:
--PART-TIME
--28 hours/week
--M-F generally between the hours of 8am – 4pm (Some flexibility but must be able to work at least 3 days a week; may have option to expand hours up to 36/week after training)

Agency Requirements:
--This is a non-smoking work site
--Must be 21+ years old
--Must be able to pass background check and drug test
--If in recovery, must have at least two years of sobriety
--Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and be willing to be seasonally vaccinated against the flu
--Must have personal reliable transportation and UT driver’s license
