Position Summary: SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Community Support Manager, implement Circles program. Circles’® underlying foundation is to engage people and organizations in the community to move families permanently out of poverty. This is a community-based initiative that creates relationships across economic class lines, matching people of low income (Circle Leaders) with middle or upper income Allies. The Circles Coach ensures those relationships thrive and Circle Leaders have access to resources so they continue to progress. The Circles Coach is also responsible for contributing efforts to engage the community in Circles® and actively serves on the Circles Employment and Education Team, and the Circles® Community Team.
Primary Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Work with Community Support Manager and Circles Coordinator to meet Circles requirements, CSBG Goals and ROMA guidelines.
2. Manage the recruiting, screening and training of Circle Leaders and Allies
3. Maintain current knowledge of social services available throughout community
4. Ensure Circles Weekly Meetings are organized and well-planned
5. Provide on-going support to participants and volunteers
6. Provide conflict resolution for participants when needed
7. Collaborate with case managers to assure families’ progress
8. Ability to write and speak passionately about ending poverty
9. Maintain accurate records and required reports
10. Regularly attend and provide leadership at Circles Teams’ meetings
11. Provide for the confidentiality of all services and communications, both written and verbal per agency, programmatic, and funding requirements.
12. Ensure all client files are secured in a locked file cabinet or are behind locked doors and not accessible to anyone from the outside.
Desired Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Able to operate standard office equipment.
• Must be proficient in use of Microsoft office programs.
• Use of client database.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with clients, customers, co-workers and volunteers
• Treat clients, co-workers and the public in a respectful and courteous manner at all times
• Ability to develop a supportive, empowering culture for diverse members of the community
• Strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy
• Ability to identify own personal and professional challenges and implement learning feedback into work performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule; must work one weekday evening each week
• Preference will be given to bilingual (English/Spanish) individuals.
• Experience working with low-income families and community preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School completion
• Two year’s work experience in the human service field with training in family development or case management
• Experience with event planning
• Experience working in community organizing or community development
• Experience working with low-income families and community services preferred.
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Additional education may be substituted for experience (paid or unpaid) or a combination of both is applicable to meet requirements to be hired
