Seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator for House of Hope’s outpatient women’s substance use disorders and mental health program. House of Hope, a non-profit organization since 1946, is located near the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Outpatient services are currently provided by 6 clinical staff, 2 interns for up to 40 women in day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient levels of care. Our program also includes family members, significant others, and older children and daily treatment is provided concurrently for their young children (birth to age 8) at the Hope Center for Children. We offer an array of group and individual therapy, behavior management, life skills and case management tailored to needs of each woman using a trauma-informed cognitive behavioral model with some therapists also trained in EMDR or other body-mind best practices for clinical work.
Primary Responsibilities: We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator with strong supervision and mentoring skills to direct and grow a clinical team of staff, interns and volunteers in serving women and children by following clinical best practices and human services ethics. This opportunity is especially suited for leaders who thrive in a learning environment in a role that combines supervision with direct care by carrying a small caseload of 8-12 clients. Must have hands-on proficiency in clinical oversight of charting and record-keeping and billing procedures; substance abuse and mental health groups; family and individual therapy; individual/group staff supervision; and collaboration/outreach with allied agencies. Also seeking leader with healthy and assertive communication skills, excellence in multi-tasking and problem solving; must be adept at balancing a small client caseload with oversight of curriculum and therapeutic quality of service provision. Preference given to those with experience in substance abuse, women’s issues and mental health counseling as well as clinical administration. Our program has an excellent reputation in the community and requires a Clinical Coordinator with dedication, strong work ethic and sense of humor coupled with excellent therapeutic and leadership skills to lead a strong team of clinical and support staff to meet the needs of families with multiple risk factors as well as inherent strengths.
Desired Qualifications: Current LCSW in Utah in good standing, licensure for a minimum of 2 years, 2 or more years in a leadership/supervision capacity; substance abuse treatment, residential programming or women’s mental health experience preferred. (While LCSW is preferred, we will consider experienced CMHC.)
