Job Summary: Under general supervision, delivers clinical services to Severely Mentally Ill individuals, and manages the interface between the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team clinical operations and the criminal justice stakeholders who provide referral to the program.
Primary Responsibilities: 1. Provides Individual, group and/or family therapy for participants on FACT caseload
2. Provides consultation to the FACT team regarding the criminal justice system
3. Act as a liaison to the Criminal Justice system through direct interaction with Probation, Parole, Mental Health court, Drug Court, Jail and prison personnel and local police
4. With the Team Lead, participates in the evaluation of new clients entering the program
5. On-call rotation: Respond to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention. Report program activities and development, crises, and any other pertinent information to appropriate chain of command. Be available for 24-7 crisis intervention.
6. Provides services within the requirements for the FACT team as outlined in the fidelity criteria
7. Participates as an active member of the all team meetings.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications: 1. Two (2) years or more experience involving the Criminal Justice system or as an employee within the criminal justice system (i.e. probation, parole, CIT officer, department social worker etc.)
2. A Master’s degree in Community Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric rehabilitation, or Social Work
3. Licensed in Utah as a Therapist
4. Lived experience preferred
5. Proficient in MS Office applications
6. Trauma Informed Care experience is preferred
7. Bilingual preferred
