Job Summary: The Crisis Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) will provided behavioral health services to individuals residing in South Salt Lake’s new Men’s Resource Center operated by The Road Home. The agency’s approach is Trauma-Informed and adheres to a Housing First perspective.
The Crisis L.C.S.W. will work as part of the collaborative interdisciplinary team to provide direct behavioral health services to single men; including assessments, crisis intervention, and will assist individuals in addressing behavioral health concerns with the aim of achieving stability in housing, becoming more self-sufficient and improving quality of life.
Primary Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Form relationships with individuals dealing with mental health and substance use disorders, provide psychotherapy, and participate in a variety of advocacy and case management duties in collaboration with other members of the team.
• May join other team members to see patients in the hospital, visit them while incarcerated, and search for them in the community when needed.
• Assess clients’ barriers to self-sufficiency and develop problem-solving skills with the client.
• Assist clients in developing goals that will help them overcome homelessness and stabilize in the community.
• Assess urgent and high risk clinical situations and make appropriate interventions.
• Attend weekly staff/staffing meetings and other meetings as assigned.
• Keep records, therapy notes, and statistical data as required and participate in research and/or special projects as needed.
• Evaluate own performance to increase effectiveness as a clinician.
• Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications
• Master's Degree graduate in a mental health discipline from an accredited university.
• L.C.S.W. or equivalent preferred, but will provide supervision for a C.S.W. working on licensure.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the mental health/substance use treatment field.
• Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI in the past 5 years).

8. Excellent organizational skills and strong computer skills.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable on the agency auto policy.
10. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
11. Self-starter and self-directed.
