Job Description: The Family Assistance and Support Team (FAST) provides case management and behavioral health services to families moving out of homelessness and back into the community. The team’s approach is trauma-informed and adheres to a Housing First perspective.

The Licensed Mental Health Clinician will work as part of the collaborative interdisciplinary team to provide direct case management. Above all else the Clinician will assist families in addressing behavioral health concerns with the aim of achieving stability in housing, becoming more self-sufficient and improving quality of life.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive behavioral health services to recently homeless clients, with services often taking place in client families’ homes, on the street, or on-site at the office of one of many collaborating service providers.
• Form relationships with family members dealing with mental health and substance use disorders, provide psychotherapy, and participate in a variety of advocacy and case management duties in collaboration with other members of the team.
• May join other team members to see patients in the hospital, visit them while incarcerated, and search for them in the community when needed.
• Clinical supervision provided for clinicians working toward approved licensure.
• Assess clients’ barriers to self-sufficiency and develop problem-solving skills with the client.
• Assist clients in developing goals that will help them overcome homelessness and stabilize in the community.
• Attend weekly staff/staffing meetings and other meetings as assigned.
• Keep records, therapy notes, and statistical data as required and participate in research and/or special projects as needed.
• Evaluate own performance to increase effectiveness as a clinician.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Master's Degree graduate in a mental health discipline from an accredited university.
• L.C.S.W. or equivalent preferred but will provide supervision for a C.S.W. working on licensure.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the mental health/substance use treatment field.
• Experience with the homeless population helpful.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI in the past 5 years).
