Job Description: South Valley Services is a non-profit organization whose mission to provide options through counseling, case management, prevention and shelter to anyone who has experienced domestic violence to live lives free from violence. Our programs aim to empower individuals and communities to recognize their self-worth and to develop the necessary skills to reach their greatest potential. We believe advocacy, prevention and safety are the primary tools in the process of eliminating domestic violence. SVS has three programs to fulfill our mission:
• The Sanctuary: provides shelter for women, men and children who are seeking a safe place away from domestic violence.
• Community Resource Centers (CRCs): provide case management, healthy relationship classes, financial empowerment support, and crisis therapy to individuals and families in the community. The CRCs are located in the West Jordan City Hall, the Riverton City Hall, and Salt Lake County libraries and homeless shelters.
• Prevention and Education: informs and educates communities regarding domestic violence as well as how to recognize, respond, and refer individuals who are in need of services.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director provides leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the success of the clinical department. They ensure services are provided in a high-quality, trauma-informed manner and that positive partnerships are maintained with other agencies. This is a hybrid role which holds both direct service and administrative responsibilities. South Valley Services Clinical team provides therapy in our West Jordan Shelter location and at multiple Community Resource Centers.

CLASSIFICATION
Full‐time (Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week)
QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of two years of experience working in the field of domestic violence.
• A minimum of two years Licensed by the State of Utah to provide mental health services.
• Experience working with families in crisis.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Fluency in writing and speaking English and Spanish; Bilingual and Bicultural (Preferred)
• Valid Driver License, Up to Date auto insurance, reliable transportation
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Ability to work sensitively and effectively with various populations and cultures.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation as well as a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Minimum Masters Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
• LCSW preferred

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Directly Reports to the Programs Director
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide general oversight for the clinical program at South Valley Services.
• Provide clinical support to Agency including:
*Organizing and leading weekly clinical staff meetings
*Coordinating with interns and school liaisons
*Ensuring a fully-staffed program, including recruiting staff and interns as needed, managing staff schedules, hiring and discipline
*Managing program development with the Programs Director
*Collaborating with agency-wide team during regular interactions
*Overseeing maintenance of program statistics including staff and intern activity hours
*Maintaining clinical files according to licensing guidelines
*Scheduling and tracking program activities in accordance with various funding requirements to ensure compliance
*Providing program evaluation
• Supervise clinical staff and interns including:
*Providing a minimum of one hour of supervision each week for each non-licensed clinical staff member and intern
• Collaborate with other departments to train employees on behavior management, crisis intervention, boundaries, suicidality and other topics as needed
• Provide in-service trainings for agency as requested
• Provide direct clinical services including:
*Scheduling and completing assessments with clients in compliance with clinical intake guidelines
*Providing individual, child, family and group therapy
*Maintaining treatment records in Apricot Database
*Providing crisis intervention with clients as necessary
*Formulating, writing and following treatment plan for each client
*Complying with professional licensing requirements
*Debriefing employees who experience or witness trauma
