Salary: $10.50-11.50/hour, DOE
Job Description: Looking for employment working with young children in the social services field? Are you interested in learning more about strengthening high-risk families and in helping young children begin to heal from abuse, neglect, and trauma? House of Hope utilizes the trauma informed psycho-educational approach with small groups of young children who are residing with their mothers in residential treatment. Group assistants help provide therapeutic groups for preschoolers and school-aged children (ages 4-8) in our children’s day treatment program.

We are looking for someone with:
-Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human development or similar field; willingness to work toward licensure as a Social Service Worker over 2-3 year period (see dopl.utah.gov)
-Experience working with young children (6 months to eight years old)
-Good basic computer and writing skills
-An understanding of professional ethics and boundaries in the human service field
-Above average problem solving skills, conflict resolution abilities and above all, a sense of humor!

Wage: $10.50-11.50/hour, DOE. 401(k) dollar for dollar match up to 5% after one year with vesting schedule, employee recognition and other incentives are available

Hours: 28-36 hours/week. Generally, Monday – Friday 11am-5pm, one weeknight 5-7pm (usually Wednesdays).
Agency Requirements:
-This is a non-smoking work site.
-Must be at least 21 years old.
-Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test.
-If in recovery, must have at least 3 years of sobriety.
-Must have own reliable transportation and good driving record.

House of Hope is a non-profit organization providing addiction recovery and behavioral health services to help women rebuild their lives and strengthen their families at seven facilities in SLC and Provo.
