Job Description: Youth Futures Shelter Home is looking for qualified candidates to serve as members of an AmeriCorps Vista project. Applicants should have two years of higher education or two years of relevant work experience i.e., business, social work, or human services. Applicants may have a combination thereof. Applicants should be independent, possessing strong writing skills, and have the ability to navigate various types of websites and social media pages. Applicants should be efficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe. AmeriCorps Vistas will be contracted for one to three years in accordance with AmeriCorps Vista program guidelines.
Benefits for Members include a conservative monthly living allowance of $12,311.00 along with an end of service education award of $5,775.00 or a cash stipend of $1,500.00. Members will receive health insurance along with the opportunity to spend the year serving the community and helping to reduce the number of homeless youth living on the streets. Members will receive on and off-site training as well as experience in growing a non-profit.
