Job Summary: The Children’s Center is seeking a friendly, responsible Bus Driver and Transportation Aide for our Therapeutic Preschool Program to fill in for full-time drivers. This position will drive preschool-aged children with emotional and behavioral challenges to and from our Center. This position will additionally fill the role of an aide on the bus when needed, and may assist with other projects or assignments within the agency. This is a full-time position, and we would also hire part-time, on call if interested. NO CDL required.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities
Safely transport preschool children to and from The Children’s Center
Act as an aide on the bus, as needed, to assist with transporting children
Fill in as Dispatcher when needed
Assist the Transportation Supervisor with other tasks as assigned
Complete organizational projects or administrative tasks when not needed to drive
Work cooperatively with extremely talented and dedicated staff
Desired Qualifications: Similar diving experience preferred.
25 years or older
Clean driving record with no DUIs (Motor Vehicle Records will be checked.)
Ability to pass a background screening
Ability to climb up and down stairs and look under bus seats
Experience working with children is preferred
Must be a dependable, patient individual who enjoys working with children and their families
Team and service focus paramount
Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills helpful
Some flexibility in schedule between the hours of 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, required to be able to fill in for different positions as needed

Schedule
Full-time, approximately 30- 35 hours/week. Part-time, on-call position also available, if desired

Compensation $14/hour
