Job Summary: Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a full time Energy Auditor & Quality Control Inspector to work in our Weatherization Program.

This Energy Auditor & Quality Control Inspector position earns a competitive wage of $17.40-23.00/hour based on experience and credentials. This position verifies and documents that all work and client files are complete and meet the Federal and State grant requirements. They coordinate and schedule the close out of building inspections with code enforcement agencies wherever necessary.

Primary Responsibilities: OTHER JOB DUTIES

Energy efficient construction knowledge
Ability to use diagnostic testing equipment to evaluate gas combustion appliances, pressure diagnostics and completed work at job site.
Ability to use computer and software programs to estimate energy savings upgrades and create work orders for crews to install the recommended measures.
Valid Utah driver's license and current insurance.
Identify any health or safety issues related to planned weatherization projects.
Inspect or evaluate building envelopes, mechanical systems and electrical systems to determine the energy consumption of each system.
The capacity to work both as a team player and individually, while contributing to a productive, fun work environment and displaying a pleasant, helpful attitude.

Typical work schedule 7:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday. No weekend or evening hours required. Located in Salt Lake City. Travel in company vehicle required.

Desired Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
1 year of related experience, or combination of experience and education
BPI Quality Control inspector, Energy Auditor certification and Rocky Mountain Gas Association (RMGA) training is required or must be obtained with 18 months of hire
Prior Weatherization experience is preferred.
