Job Summary: Safe Harbor is looking for a facilities technician to maintain our properties, make necessary repairs, and ensure that we are in compliance with any relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding health and safety of residents
Primary Responsibilities: Manage Shelter and Transitional Housing maintenance schedules and coordinate various inspections for Shelter and Transitional Housing as needed.
Conduct regular checks of emergency and security systems. Coordinate and carry out quarterly fire drills.
Coordinate on the Emergency Management and Business Continuity Plan to ensure first aid kits and emergency supplies are maintained.
Develop and implement an internal review system to ensure facilities comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding health and safety of residents.
Develop and maintain a relationship with vendors for lawn care/snow removal, plumbing, electrical, safety, repairs, etc. or be able to effectively perform this work yourself.
Prepare Transitional Housing apartments for new move-ins and coordinate move-in and move-out property inspections.
Respond to and manage urgent maintenance calls.
Make repairs and improvements to Shelter and Transitional Housing as needed.
Desired Qualifications: You have good organizational, communication, and computer skills
You have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously required.
You can pass a background investigation check (BCI).
You are able to lift up to 50 pounds.
You are able to work on call in case of emergency maintenance needs.
You can perform basic maintenance and repairs.
You have a valid Drivers License.
