Job Summary: Utah Community Action is hiring a Weatherization Energy/Quality Control Inspector. This is a full time (40 hours a week), year-round, benefit eligible position. Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for performing residential energy audits, prepare work orders and conduct quality control inspections on work completed by weatherization crews. Verify and document that all work and client files are complete and meet the Federal and State grant requirements. Coordinate and schedule the close out of building inspections with code enforcement agencies wherever necessary.
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, 1 year of related experience, or combination of experience and education. BPI Quality Control inspector, Energy Auditor certification and Rocky Mountain Gas Association (RMGA) training is required or must be obtained with 18 months of hire. Prior Weatherization experience is preferred.

Other Job Duties & Requirements:

Energy efficient construction knowledge
Ability to use diagnostic testing equipment to evaluate gas combustion appliances, pressure diagnostics and completed work at job site.
Ability to use computer and software programs to estimate energy savings upgrades and create work orders for crews to install the recommended measures.
Valid Utah driver's license and current insurance.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Identify any health or safety issues related to planned weatherization projects.
Inspect or evaluate building envelopes, mechanical systems and electrical systems to determine the energy consumption of each system.
Must have or acquire the Building Performance Institute (BPI) Quality Control Inspector and Energy Auditor certifications. Testing and training to be provided.
Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
The ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
The capacity to work both as a team player and individually, while contributing to a productive, fun work environment and displaying a pleasant, helpful attitude.
Responsible for proper use and maintenance of vehicles and tools.
