Job Summary: Utah Community Action is accepting applications for a Kitchen Manager. This is a Full time, exempt position.

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, and maintaining the Central Kitchen operations on a daily basis. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for food preparation, ordering, inventory and food delivery routes & schedules, allergy accommodations, and supervision of all Central Kitchen staff. Other essential day-to-day duties include but are not limited to, complying with safety and cleaning standards, cost control, compliance of Child and Adult Food Program standards, all grant funding, and health department standards.

Primary Responsibilities: Other Responsibilities:



Solid understanding of food safety, regulations, sanitation, and food preparation techniques.
Ability to maintain and grow relationships with classroom staff, vendors, and outside clients.
Capable of planning and executing multiple deliveries and cooking schedules.
Skilled in budgeting and menu development, including dietary restrictions.
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Capable of working flexible hours and days.
Relationship building and integrity.
Robust conflict management and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications: Required education and experience

High School or GED
ServSafe Certification
2-3 years of supervisory experience


Preferred education and experience

2-3 years of culinary experience
2+ years of restaurant management experience
