Job Summary: Utah Community Action is accepting applications for a Full time Electrician.

This position is responsible to provide electrical service and repairs in homes that are receiving weatherization services in Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, Morgan and Weber Counties.

Transportation and tools are provided.

Primary Responsibilities: Great benefits available including health, dental, vision, 401K, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, up to $2,500 HSA match for a family, accrue sick & vacation time, holiday pay, etc. Wage $17.19-$23.00/hour depending on education and experience.

Typical work schedule 7:30am-4:00pm. No weekend or night shifts.
Desired Qualifications: Required education and experience:

High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of residential construction experience (experience can include insulation, framing, remodeling or other related fields).
Must currently be licensed as an electrician in the State of Utah or have the training and experience necessary to become licensed upon hire.



Preferred education and experience:

Bachelor degree or certification from a technical school.
CDL license.

Competencies:

Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Responsible for following and complying with assigned work orders.
Responsible for proper use and maintenance of vehicles and tools.
Electrical license to complete work in Utah
Residential electrical experience
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Problem solving
Planning
Equipment maintenance
Basic safety skills
Ability to identify and diagnose electrical circuits
