Position Details

Location: Salt Lake Valley (Multiple locations available)

Start date: August 3, 2020

Typical Schedule: 7:00am -3:30pm Monday-Friday

Compensation: $14.57 to $18.95 per hour

Status: Non-exempt, Full-time, Year-round

Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities

Support a classroom team in providing a comprehensive Early Head Start program.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the safety, supervision, and activities of the children birth to 3 years of age assigned under his/her care in the program.
Must maintain full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing Policies and Health Department Codes and Regulations
Relate with children in a positive way.
Accept responsibility for children under his/her care.
Leadership and supervisory skills as a Lead Teacher.
Ability to coordinate and assign classroom workloads.
Knowledge of internet, e-mail, various word processing and spreadsheet software.
Correct use of English, both verbal and in writing.
Desired Qualifications: Professional Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Development with a focus on infant and toddler development preferred. Associate Degree/CDA in Early Childhood Education with a focus on infant and toddler development required if you do not have a Bachelor's degree.
Previous Early Head Start and/or experience working with infants/toddlers and teen mothers preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
