Job Summary: We are currently seeking to hire another member for our Maintenance team who is passionate about helping to serve our organization and patients. Our Maintenance department performs a variety of work including repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities, light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and some demolition.

First Step House is a well-established, non-profit behavioral health organization that has multiple drug and alcohol treatment centers in Utah. Repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets.
Primary Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to:

Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closets.
Installs all air conditioning units.
Services appliances, kitchen, and emergency equipment.
Hooks up appliance and reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action.
Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person.
Maintains grounds in a presentable fashion by cutting, trimming, and edging.

Basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, grounds keeping with gas powered tools, standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
Safety practices and procedures related to the building trades; basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.
Follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Valid driver license and be able to be added to our insurance.
Desired Qualifications: Education and Experience:

Experience in the behavioral health field is preferred
Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the building trades.
The salary range is $14.00 - $18.00 p/hour DOE.
