Description

Job Summary: The Rape Recovery Center accepts associate and bachelor's level student applicants seeking academic credit for Fall, Spring and Summer semesters of a traditional academic calendar.

Qualifications:
Experience with Advocacy and or Customer Service
Strong references
Experience and/or interest in feminist multicultural theory and application
Fluent in Spanish preferred

Requirements:
Internship is for one full semester, (Fall/Spring 300 hours, Summer 200 hours)
Complete 40-hour state-certification training on issues of sexual violence (Training offered at RRC in January, May, and September)
Work at least 300 or 200 hours per semester (depending on semester average of 250 minimum), attend staff meetings advocacy meetings, office is open Monday-Thursday
Will primarily work with clients over the phone on our 24-hour crisis line.
Additional opportunities in Sexual Assault Advocacy assigned as needed
Availability to cover overnight shifts needed. ( 10 PM to 9 AM)
Stipend: There is no stipend available at this time, however, the Rape Recovery Center covers all upfront Training costs (i.e. 40 hour training, background check, etc.)
