Job Summary: Provides professional analytical support for housing assistance programs within the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City and its non-profit subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities: Essential Functions

1. Researches and develops housing strategies and policies for the agency.
2. Assists with ensuring proper reporting for existing grants.
3. Monitors and ensures program compliance .
4. Tracks housing trends locally and nationally and prepares related reports.
5. Prepares and presents comprehensive and often technical reports.
6. Working with staff, reviews and responds to agency program audits.
7. Accurately and timely reporting and submissions to external agencies.
8. Analyzes and tracks a variety of rental housing market data for input on projects, market studies and program costs/operations.
Desired Qualifications: Education & Experience
1. Bachelor degree with major coursework in business, public administration, real estate, or a related field and progressive experience in the areas of analysis, policy writing, and audits. Master’s Degree preferred.
2. Maintain knowledge and ability to interpret housing program rules, regulations, requirements, and guidelines.
3. Proven research and analytical skills, and ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
4. Constant ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
5. Strong organizational skills. Ability to set priorities, and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.
6. Flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. Make sound and accurate decisions.
7. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills, ability to communicate with diverse audiences, and ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, tact and diplomacy in difficult, potentially hostile and confrontational situations.
8. Ability to think logically, analyze problems, follow systematic procedures, work independently, and develop critical path schedules is required.
9. Experience with contract management and/ or regulatory compliance oversight.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel and Power Point.
