Salary: $16.98 per hour with benefits
Job Description: This position is responsible for the coordination of services to residents at apartment complex. Residents come from a variety of backgrounds with many needs, including formerly homeless, low income, and disabled. This position calls for the connecting of these residents with any services provided in the community, such as connections to mainstream benefits, to VA services, and to employment opportunities through partner agencies. This position may also call for intervention, as needed, into crisis situations relating to the housing stability of the individuals. The Homeless Service Coordinator is also responsible for the planning and coordination of activities both within the housing complex and in the community.

Minimum Qualifications Include:
The equivalent of a high school education and two years’ work experience in residential property management, housing programs or a related field. Two years of education beyond the high school equivalent may be substituted for one year of experience. Valid driver’s license required.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to work well with other employees, residents and the public under varying circumstances. Ability to relate and communicate with persons from all socio-economic, ethnic and racial backgrounds. Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to follow instructions and make decisions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Proficient in the use of current word and data processing software including but not necessarily limited to Microsoft Office. Ability to function effectively in stressful situations, prioritize tasks and work on multiple tasks.

Possession of a valid Utah driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Human Service field.

Pay is $16.98 an hour (depends on experience), plus a comprehensive benefits package.
