Salary: $13.22 hourly
Job Description: THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION, 15 TO 25 HRS PER WEEK, EVENINGS AND SATURDAYS
DUTIES: Work directly with volunteers- Help with questions and direction and ensure a positive experience; Ensure projects are completed on time and maintain inventory controls; Communicate with warehouse and inventory on project and facility questions; Ensure safety in volunteer area; clean, order supplies and ensure area is stocked and ready; Work closely with Volunteer Manager; Collaborate to troubleshoot issues; Welcome, thank and assist people with donations; Work to resolve issues, refer serious matters to Volunteer Manager; Coordinate and supervise court-ordered volunteers; May open/close building secure grounds, and turn off/set alarm; Assist with events; Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communication, organization, and speaking skills; Experience working independently and in a team environment; High energy level; 3 years+ experience in warehouse and/or customer service; Word processing, spreadsheet and database programs; Strong ability in planning, project oversight and follow through; Leadership, problem solving and teamwork skills; High standard of professional ethics and conduct; Able to interact successfully with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures; Commitment to Fighting Hunger Statewide
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work involves moderate risks requiring special safety precautions, (working around moving parts, carts, machines) and operating a forklift and powered/manual pallet jacks. There are extended hours of standing and regular physical activity. Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, goggles, and gloves when working with food.
