Salary: $15 per hour
Job Description: HIRING for a Gallery Associate at the Urban Arts Gallery:

12-15 hours a week including evening shifts, events, & weekends

Job Summary
Assist in running the Utah Arts Alliance’s Urban Arts Gallery during evenings, events, & weekends.

Responsibilities include:

 Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive work environment

 Welcoming and assisting artists and patrons

 Selling cool art

 Cash-handling

 Assisting artists with inventory management

 General gallery maintenance

 Responsible for running the gallery in the absence of the Manager & Director

Minimum Requirements:

 Available to work 2-3 shifts a week

 Must be available during events, 2nd and 3rd Fridays of the month, 5-9 pm

 Previous customer service experience

 Interest in Visual Art and supporting the local arts community

 Ability to lift 20+ lbs and use a ladder

Preferences:

Organized, dependable, with a positive attitude and ability to take initiative with the day-to- day tasks that come with operating the gallery. Willing to assist in

hanging and/or take down of exhibits once a month. Previous gallery experience

not necessary, but previous sales, volunteering, and/or non-profit experience a plus.
