Job Description: DESCRIPTION

The position of Administrative Specialist is a key member of the YWCA’s development team whose primary responsibilities include gift entry, database management and reporting, donor and member tracking and acknowledgment. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Gift Entry - maintain accurate and timely gift recording of all philanthropic contributions to the YWCA.
2. Database Management - Create, update and manage highly accurate and up-to-date donor, volunteer, and membership information in both the Raiser’s Edge database and hard files. Manage pledges, memorial and tribute giving. Generate analytical and comparative reports regarding donors, members, and volunteers as needed for YWCA management staff.
3. Special Event Support - Generate mailing and attendee lists; assist with all event-related mailings and attend all YWCA development events and participate in the overall success of the event as requested.
4. Donor/Volunteer/Member Communication - prepare and mail all donor acknowledgements; write and track appropriate, effective and timely constituent correspondence as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. B.A. required, or two years of database management experience.
2. Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
3. Collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues and staff across programs, agency.
4. Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office.
5. Detail-oriented, highly accurate team player.
6. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and comfortable with a variety of people and audiences.
8. Fluency in English (speaking and writing) required.
9. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
10. Ability to work assigned hours on a regular basis.
11. Ability to work respectfully with people of diverse ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities, socio-economic levels, beliefs and lifestyles.
12. Must be able to pass BCI, meet I-9 requirements, and, if driving on agency business, a valid Utah driver’s license, automobile insurance and motor vehicle record.
