Job Summary: We are Utah’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization working everyday to secure equal rights and protections for LGBTQ Utahns and their families. Equality Utah Foundation focuses on educating the community at large on LGBTQ issues. We are looking for an associate-level business development person to join our team working with local businesses and leaders to increase our reach in the business communities we serve by offering business certifications that include our corporate trainings. We are looking for an outgoing, gregarious individual who can connect with people and build lasting relationships. The Market Development Representative position is an at-will position.
Primary Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is responsible for expanding our Business Equality Leader program statewide by developing and managing marketing campaigns and sales strategy to attract and retain business partners and community leaders. This person will report to the Managing Director.
-Track and consistently follow-up with business contacts and leads using our CRM
-Provide regular lead generation updates and reporting using our CRM
-Coordinate, schedule and confirm training for our Business Equality Leader program statewide
-Generate leads using a variety of marketing campaign approaches including email, social media, professional organizations, and other business to business contact strategies
-Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
-Identify and segment target audiences and grow our email list
-Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
-Ensure prompt and accurate communication with our leads and existing partners
Desired Qualifications: -1-3 years of marketing experience, ideally business development email marketing, lead generation and conversion, or other B2B sales experience
-Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
-Strong project coordination skills with ability to work under tight deadlines
-Experience generating leads and increasing business partner engagement
-Proficient in maintaining and updating one or more CRM systems, developing accurate reports and maintaining data integrity
-Demonstrated success building relationships and increasing B2B leads/contacts
