WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Strategic Engagement & Communications Coordinator will support the Director of Strategic Engagement & Communications in marketing campaigns, initiatives, tasks, and responsibilities. The goal of CHOICE’s communications is three-fold: educate our audiences on the challenges and solutions to rural poverty, inspire them with stories of hope and resilience from our communities, and activate them to donate, advocate, share, partner, volunteer, and more.
Primary Responsibilities: The Strategic Engagement & Communications Coordinator will:•Support the Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications in marketing, communications, and engagement efforts.•Work with the Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications to develop, implement, lead, and evaluate marketing plans, strategies, and tactics that expand reach and awareness, grow our audiences, nurture our supporters, and increase donations for CHOICE.•Provide vital marketing support to central offices’ various teams, which includes collaboration on achieving short- and long-term fundraising goals.•Coordinate the creation, execution, and deployment of assets, resources, and technology to leveragecommunications channels: social media, email newsletters, video, website, blog, etc.•Gather content from various sources (country teams, partners, expeditioners, etc.), write content, and utilize content on CHOICE’s communication platforms to educate, inspire, and activate.•Strategize and identify ways to smartly increase bandwidth and leverage resources for marketing execution(pro-bono partners, donated services, volunteers, interns, etc.); intern management may be included in this role.•Assist in improving internal communications with local and global staff members, which may include process development, technology adoption and training, etc.
Desired Qualifications: WHO YOU ARE•2-3+ years of work experience in marketing•Bachelor’s degree in a marketing-related program•Self-starter who is proactive, productive, and dependable•Excellent at working independently and meeting deadlines, managing time, and organizing priorities•Creative and collaborative with problem-solving—you work well with others in finding ways to achieve goals•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills•Ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse populations•Basic understanding of Microsoft tools•You are passionate about making the world a better placeA PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED•Design or video experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc.)•Spanish language abilities (written or verbal)•Experience with HubSpot (CRM, Marketing Hub, etc.)
