Position Summary: Position Overview: The Marketing and Communication Manager provides comprehensive support to the marketing and promotion efforts of the GOAL Foundation. An essential member of the team, the Marketing and Communications Manager is task-oriented, self-driven and takes ownership of tasks and projects.
Responsible for the strategy, tactics and programs to create interest, demand and awareness of the GOAL Foundation’s events and programs. Responsible for the marketing, promotion and public relations efforts to include working on social media, creative in house design, website, event registration sales, and client experience. This position also includes working as part of an Events Production Team specific to the organization’s produced and supported events. This position reports to the Executive Director/CEO.
Primary Responsibilities:  Create and execute a yearly marketing calendar for all events and programs of the GOAL Foundation to
include online, website, social media, print campaigns and press releases.
 Responsible for content development of all related collateral, website management and content.
 Social Brand Management to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Tik Tok, and
 Assist in development of marketing goals, objectives and budgets for GOAL’s marketing plan.
 Measure and report growth of registrations and programs based on marketing campaigns and efforts.
 Schedules and coordinate with video and photo vendors to ensure we have visual assets for all events
and programs.
 Assist with vendor sales and communication for event expos.
 Responsible for in house design of all email communication, social media images and timely delivery of
all branding for events.
 Execute marketing support and design collateral as needed to ensure the success of GOAL’s programs.
 Assist with sponsors including proposals, follow up reports, and deliverables.
 Assist with content development, data collection, and design of donor reports, donor recognition and
design of the organization’s Annual Report.
 Manages the organization’s Customer Relationship Management program (CRM).
 Attend industry expo and community fairs to promote the events and programs of the organization.
 Research best practices, new opportunities, and trends on a regular basis and use in implementation of
marketing strategy.
 Day of event support including operational and logistic needs of the organization.
 Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/CEO
Desired Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design and/or public relations preferred, or
the equivalent combination of job experience and/or technical training.
 Strong written and oral communication skills.
 Proficient in MS Windows including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
 Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
 Ability to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and
aesthetic design concepts to include brand management.
 Strong analytical abilities, visual and aesthetic sense.
 Experience with and understanding of paid social media outlets and marketing tactics, i.e, Facebook,
Twitter, etc. to include paid social exposure.
 Digital marketing experience including email marketing.
 Experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), display, website editing and content management,
Google Analytics knowledge and CRM Management preferred.
 Well-organized, self-motivated and proactive.
 Strong Knowledge of the greater Ogden area and Event marketing.
 Ability to collaborate and work well with a team.
 Ability to prioritize and handle simultaneous projects with multiple sponsors and vendors.
 Ability to meet deadlines and stay at/under budget.
 Must be willing to work events and some weekends, outside, and in varying weather conditions.
 Ability to attend all trainings and committee meetings as required even if scheduled outside of normal working or regularly scheduled hours.
 Ability to stand on feet for long hours.
 Ability to set up and tear down expo booths, events, equipment and marketing material.
 Ability to lift boxes and equipment and consistently lift 50 pounds.

The organization produces athletic events including the Ogden Marathon, Winter Race Circuit, El Doce 12 and 6 hour Mountain Bike Race, and provides Youth Programming including hiking, backpacking, mountain bike, and rock climbing camps.
This is a Full-time, Salaried Exempt position. This is an in-person position with hours of Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Competitive benefits are available after passing a 90 day introductive period.
