Position Summary: Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Communications Manager, the CEC is responsible for supporting AUCH’s public relations, communications, marketing, and event planning activities. Additionally, the CEC is responsible for managing the organization’s website and social media platforms, as well as coordinating all in-person and virtual training and event planning from start to finish. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of communications related and event planning experience, including graphic design and web/social management.
Primary Responsibilities: Principle Responsibilities: The following information is intended to be representative of the essential functions performed and is not all-inclusive.
• Assist in the branding, design, distribution, and maintenance of print and digital materials and publications.
• Design a wide range of artistic material such as signs, banners, posters, brochures, and web graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
• Manage and maintain all social media accounts, including content creation.
• Maintain and update the organizational website.
• Proofread and edit copy for various channels, ensuring consistent voice.
• Basic internal and external photography.
• Coordinate training and events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and creating marketing collateral.
• Implement internal processes to ensure training and event coordination runs smoothly throughout the organization.
• Establish and maintain relationships with event sponsors and exhibitors.
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related/applicable field required. Related experience will be considered in substitution for academic attainment.
• 2-3 years’ experience in communications support and/or event planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences.
• Strong graphic design and branding skills.
• Experience with website management, Joomla experience preferred.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, ensuring quality and consistent output.
• Balancing quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.)
• Time management skills and ability to prioritize a large volume of tasks.
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
• Exceptional customer services skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team player.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to regularly changing priorities and duties.
• Flexibility to respond to a variety of requests/needs/issues simultaneously.
